The four lessons explore the impact of electricity on our world. Sources of electrical production are shown and discussed as well as our dependency on electricity in everyday life. The atomic structure of current and static electricity are demonstrated. Principles of current electricity, circuits, switches and circuit breakers are illustrated. Conductors and insulators are also discussed. Examples of static electricity demonstrate how electrons move from one atom to another attracting and repel-ling other objects. The Van de Graaf generator illustrates this principle. The relationship between magnets and electricity is presented tracing the history of the magnet from the early Greeks. This series is packed with demonstrations for the younger student to assist them in understanding the principles of electricity and magnetism.(c 2002)
