The South Carolina Alternate Assessment (SC-Alt) Test Administrator Training is designed for test administrators (teachers) who have experience with administering the SC-Alt. It is be used in conjunction with district level training conducted by the District Test Coordinator for Alternate Assessment. SC-Alt is an assessment for students with significant cognitive disabilities who are unable to participate in the general state assessment even with appropriate accommodations. Suzanne Swaffield, SCDE Office of Assessment, and Elizabeth Stout, SCDE Office of Exceptional Children, are presenters.

· Accommodations in Instruction and Assessment: Selecting, Administering and Evaluating the Use of Accommodations in SC Schools

Students with disabilities in SC schools may receive accommodations that provide access to classroom instruction and assessments. SCDE has developed an Accommodations Manual to assist member of individualize education program (IEP) and 504 plan team members with selecting, administering and evaluating the use of accommodations in instruction and assessment. This video may be used an orientation to the SCDE 2009-10 Accommodations Manual available on SCDE Web site at http://www.ed.sc.gov/agency/Accountability/Assessment. Tiffany Scott, SCDE Office of Assessment, and Mary Etta Taylor, SCDE Office of Exceptional Children, are presenters.

State Superintendent of Education Jim Rex hosts a LIVE, statewide faculty meeting for all South Carolina educators Monday, March 8 at 4:00 p.m. Educators are invited to participate and e-mail questions to inourschools@scetv.org.

Best way to view program is on satellite Channel 1 (ITV schedule) or, if available, through a local DES Channel (formerly called DELC).

OnePlaceSC will also stream the program. For districts with IP Streaming system, the best way to view is on your local streaming LIVE TV Guide.

Any teacher, administrator or staff member may also view the Internet stream on OnePlaceSC's ETV TV Guide channel 1. Many schools may not be equipped to view multiple live streams, however.
